2005 ICRP Recommendation

I can't believe what I've just read. The nuclear industry wants to push to raise exposure levels to workers in its industry. Unbelievable! We've learned so much about radiation exposure over the years of monitoring people who work in the field and those who were accidentally exposed. All of that knowledge points to the conclusion that people should be exposed to less radiation for their personal well-being, not more. Your support of the industry recommendation is a betrayal of those who look to you to use science for good and to protect them from the interests of the nuclear mega-industry. Whose interests are being looked after here? I urge you to reverse your decision and speak in favour of workers and others exposed to the poison created by the nuclear industry. Does this recommendation extend to those who work with other forms of radiation, for example, those who use X-rays in the non-destructive testing industry?
